No jokes. Please answer with conviction. A tale of two birds...?
The dove is a bird both by structure and by nature and hence it flies in freedom. The ostrich is a bird by structure but not by nature and hence it remains grounded lifelong. So, why " high tech" modern education and environment make us ostrich? Can ostrich education make us free? When? In future? Does the ostrich become a flier with passing of time?
Can birds eat the cones from Ice cream cones?
no ice cream just the cone. there plain cones not waffel cones. I want to make bird toys and wondering if its safe for them. What other foods are safe for them that are around the house. I already know whats toxic but it says nothing about the cones for ice cream.I know about no toilet paper rolls nothing with zinc in it. The bells and clips I get are zinc free. no jingle bells no bells for large birds they take of the clinker. no salt sugar chocolate caffeine alcohol poisonous wood or plants. I used to breed birds and made toys for them but I am very creative and want to try new things. .I do not want to poison any of my customers birds by making a unsafe toy.yes seeds are good as treats but not as a diet. I don't have any salt free seeds or nuts in the house.
Clipping birds wings....?
I just had my birds wings clipped at the vet today. The poor guy that had to do the holding got all bit up. My sun conure is hand tame, I hold her all the time, but that's all she like...she wants to be out on your arm, shoulder, top of my head, wherever, but she doesn't like to be touched. She won't let me scratch her neck or touch her back or wings. So it was quite an ordeal and very stressful for her today. I was wondering if any of you could tell me any ideas so next time, the poor vet doesn't get bit up again. Also some tips on getting her to be more comfortable w me touching her. I do try to scratch her neck and stuff, but she just grabs my finger w her beak not hard like a bite or anything, she only bites other people and pushes it away, lol. Any tips are very much appreciated.
