Do bird baths with solar heaters really exist?
I know solar powered bird baths exist. . .to cascade or fountain or sprinkle water. However, I have been unable to find one that heats the water with solar power. What is amazing, is I literally read articles that reference solar heated bird baths, but then when I try to find them, they do not exist
I'm building a bird bath and need a little help?
I've bought a couple of vases to glue together to form the base and a large plate to sit on the top for the water basin. Also, I have some flat marbles that will lay in the bottom of this basin. What I need help with is what kind of glue do I need for these flat marbles to stick to the plate? I've got some cement mix, but I'd rather the " mortar" in between the marbles be white, so I also bought some tile grout.I have household cement like superglue , will this work to make the marbles stick? Then, can I use the tile grout to finish it off?I've never done this before and find instructions on the internet confusing, they talk about brand names of grout, cement, thinset, and so on. What I have is a small box of craft cement and powdered tile grout and some household cement superglue .What I need is step by step of exactly what to do and how long to wait for it to set up and when I'll be able to add water for the birds to enjoy. Thanks so much for helping me.
Is it okay to use bird bath deep cleaning spray product?
I just bought four paws bird bath deep cleaning spray product. I was just wondering if it's safe to use it on my parakeets. On the bottle it says" Deep cleaning action.skin and plumage conditioner with natural preen gland oil. Contains aloe and lanolin" The direction says to spray the product on the birds. I read that most bird products like mite cleaner, and certain toys can be dangerous to birds according to my parakeet guide book. So I just wanted to know if I can trust this product. Is this product safe to use on parakeets? This question is for bird experts and bird owners who can answer my question. Thank you so much.

Where is the best place to put up a bird bath?
I have a nice back yard and a big front yard but not a whole lot of flowers as of yet. But I was curious as to where I should put my bird bath so that the birds would use it often. Under trees, near lots of flowers or any where. Do they need shade when bathing? Can it be under the trees? Where is the best place? Thank you to all who can answer this question. Have a blessed day everyone

Other uses for a copper bird bath?
It's maybe 4" deep...We received a nice copper bird bath as a wedding present...the bowl is about 24" in diameter. The problem is we live in AZ and our native birds don't use them, plus I'd have to fill it two or three times a day just to keep any water in it with the sun and dry air. Would love to use it for something else...would a planter work? How would I pack the soil? Any other ideas?
What kind of water in bird bath???!!?

Concrete bird bath. Can I use these to prime and paint it?
It used to be a bird bath but now I just want to paint it. Make it into decorative yard art. I don't have anything specific for use on concrete but I'm wondering if I can use regular household primer. I have various acrylic paints and one white latex paint primer. Do you think these paints would hold up to the weather if I finish it with some polyurethane or something?
Which material are most bird baths made out of and how easy to repair if breaks?
have a statue that sits on top of a bird bath that is removable for a fountain pump inside..and has fallen off a few times..but seems extremely strong , hard material ,,not sure what material it is but looks kind of " ivory looking" with really smooth texture,,yet it is very hard like a stone..however this statue crack a little last time it fell..and was wondering if it would be a good idea to fill in the cracks with something? if so, what? and how durable are most of these statues on bird baths? can they be repaired if happens to break off the head?please explain , describe what you can.thanks for your answers
Solar Bird Bath - how can I make one at home?
I live in a very cold climate and want to make a home made solar heated bird bath.Ideas?Update My real reason is to provide drinking water that isn't freezing cold. The birds that do not migrate seem to get very thirsty when everything is below freezing for days and days no liquid water out there... People in my neighborhood feed them, but no one seems to be watering them.I have seen our winter birds cardinals, sparrows, etc actually bathe in warm water I put out. It's gotta be up to them if that's a good idea....The real object is drinking water, not bathing.
