hey im getting a bird eating spider just want to hear from the ppl that have them and do they like having them
What does a giant bird eating spider really look like?
My cousin is in the army and they are based in Afghanistan and one of the guys who stays in the tent with him was bitten by a giant bird eating spider and is now in Intensive Care, but I'm not sure what it really looks like or why its so harmful.
How tame are pet australian bird eating spiders?
hi im looking for a good pet in australia....and i was looking at reptiles, snakes...and i came across bird eating spiders...and i was like...cool, am i crazy for wanting a venomous spider that can cause you to vomit for up to 8 hours?, so i thought....dude i dont care as long as they dont want to bite, only when provoked.I just do not want a ''pet'' that is gonna bite about every time i need to to move him in a different cage. Help me out.P.S im in australia so i cant get rose haired spiders and stuff, so dont recommend that to me.
Why has my bird eating spider died?
i have had a haitian brown bird eating spider for 2 weeks all was well until today when it was trying to malt it did not turn on to its back but stayed on its belly and was stretching its legs and was pushing up its body as if to try and get the skin off. as the day has gone on its movements got less and less and now it is dead what have we done wrong any answers please help.hi k thank you for your reply. we did not touch it today but because it was not on its back we did not realise it was malting and we put some food in for it so that may have stressed it out i am really sad this was our first spider we have outher exotic pets ie snakes, and a lizard that we have had for years but this was our only spider.

my salmon pink bird eater is due a skin shed and when i looked in its tank i noticed lots of little tiny crickets babys running about and was wandering wether they could affect the spider during its skin molt, thanks

Are those bird-eating spiders for real?
I vaguely remember reading about spiders that catch smalls birds in their webs then eat them.anyone providing links with images or even videos would be much appreciated.
