No jokes. Please answer with conviction. A tale of two birds...?
The dove is a bird both by structure and by nature and hence it flies in freedom. The ostrich is a bird by structure but not by nature and hence it remains grounded lifelong. So, why " high tech" modern education and environment make us ostrich? Can ostrich education make us free? When? In future? Does the ostrich become a flier with passing of time?

Were most dinosaurs birds or did they adapt to environment and grow feathers over time?
if you look at the skeleton of the Dodo bird it looks like a dinosauren.wikipedia.org wiki File Dodo.jpgbut we now it looks like thisupload.wikimedia.org wikipedia commons e e1 Dodo 1.JPGFYI dodo birds were 3 ft tallWe now know living animals have the ability to grow feathers or scales.....and I believe the environmennt dictates what they will produce, dinosaurs didnt become extinct they became birds and the flightless birds, like the dodo, were the first to die off because they were flightless and nested on the ground letting predators eat there eggs and so on so mostly flight birds survived in exception to the domesticated ones that humans used for food, chickens,turkeys...
Why did the seed in my bird feeders go bad?
Two weeks ago, I bought three bird feeders and put them in my back yard. Watching the birds, I noticed that while one feeder made of wire with sunflower seeds inside was very popular, the birds basically ignored the other two both plastic tubes, one large with mixed seed and one finch sized with thistle seed . The sunflower seed feeder was almost empty today, so I went outside to refill it and I figured I would just dump out the seed from my other two feeders and refill to see if the birds would be tempted by fresh seed. To my surprise, the seed in the bottom half of the big tube feeder has all sprouted inside of the feeder, and it had congealed into a big nasty mess that I could not clean out. Worse yet, the thistle seed was moldy and full of what I think were maggots I didn't care to look too closely . Both feeders are in the trash now. What went wrong? I live in an area that is very humid for much of the year does that cause excessive moisture to build up inside the plastic tubes? Should I only use the wire type feeders?
Is Bird watching a dying hobby?
In the recent Bird fair in Rutland, I noticed that number of attendees has fallen significantly to the time last I visited that 3 years ago. The crowd consisted mainly of old couples aged more than 60 or 70 years. Why youngsters are not interested to watch birds?
